Jennifer Brown teaches official K9 Nose Work® (K9NW™) classes at NCRFC. She is a Certified Nose Work Instructor (CNWI™) with the National Association of Canine Scent Work (NACSW™) and is an AKC Scent Work judge. In addition to being a Certified Nose Work Instructor, Jennifer is involved in Urban Search and Rescue as a MA-TF1 FEMA Canine Search Specialist, she is a certified cadaver dog handler, and she is the President of the Association of Professional Dog Trainers Foundation Board. She is also TAG Teach certified, attended the KPA-CTP program with instructor Terry Ryan, and undertook a year-long internship with Terry at Legacy Canine and Behavior. She spent a year in Thailand working with semi-feral free ranging street dogs, she has taught scent work in five countries, and has worked with hundreds of teams including police K-9s, professional detection handlers (bed bugs, weapons/evidence, narcotics, cadaver), as well as sport and pet dog teams. She offers free K9NW™ in The Shelter workshops to local animal shelters who wish implement the enrichment activity of nose work into their shelter dog program.
